Competition Rules & Timeline

1. Competition Timeline & Phases

  • Phase 1 (Registration & Submission): Opens strictly for 1 month from Sunday, 1st March 2026 to Tuesday, 31st March 2026.
  • Phase 2 (Vetting & Judging): An expert panel will review all entries for 2 weeks immediately following the closure of submissions (Ending Wednesday, 15th April 2026).
  • Phase 3 (Finalists Selection): The top 30 photographers from each of the 3 competition categories will be selected as official finalists.
  • Phase 4 (Public Voting): The shortlisted final art pieces will be opened to the public for voting to determine the ultimate winners.

2. Eligibility & Entry Fee

Open to all Kenyan residents. A non-refundable registration and vetting fee of KES 200 is required per entry via M-Pesa. Successful payment automatically unlocks the secure photo upload portal.

3. Submission Standards & Ethics

All images must be 100% your original work. Strictly NO AI-generated images. Basic color correction and cropping are allowed, but heavy digital manipulation that alters the reality of the scene will lead to instant disqualification. You must have consent from any recognizable human subjects in your photography.

4. Copyright & Usage

You retain full copyright of your work. By entering, you grant Sarami Events a non-exclusive license to display your image for competition promotion, gallery exhibition, and public voting purposes.
